PART 1 – General Questions About the 8-Day Process
1) How should I prepare for the 8DP? Should I do any cleansing or fasting before attending?
The best way to prepare for the process is by practicing the techniques from the Akahi - Breatharian Method Online Video Course (you’ll receive immediate access after registration). This course grants lifetime, 24/7 access to the entire 8-day program, including sessions, videos, an eBook, and additional content from the Online Membership Program.
It's an excellent way to familiarize yourself with the breathing, energy, and diet principles of the 8DP*, and it also provides continued support after the retreat.
No diet changes or fasting experience are necessary before attending. Simply trust your inner guidance to prepare in the way that feels right for you! The 8DP is a complete process on its own, gently purifying your body, mind, emotions, and spirit in the way that is most perfect for you.
So, we invite you to relax, enjoy life, and know that you’re already ready for your 8DP!
2) I have little to no experience with fasting and feel nervous about the recommended 3-day "dry fasting"—is it mandatory?
This is a great and important question! Please know that you are always free to customize the process in the way that feels most perfect, harmonious, and loving for you.
The majority of past 8DP participants have completed the recommended 3-day dry fast and found it to be a magical, rewarding, and surprisingly easy experience—especially with the support of the group and the Conscious Breathing sessions. This practice is a powerful component of the 8DP, deepening the benefits of Conscious Breath, which helps purify, calibrate, and attune the body, mind, emotions, and soul.
At the same time, some participants choose to modify their experience based on personal needs:
1. Breaking up the 3 dry fasting days into single-day sessions, with water or juice days in between.
2. Replacing the dry fasting days with water-only (food-free) days.
We're flexible, and Akahi is here to support you in finding what works best for you. We invite you to trust your intuition, knowing that while the recommendation has worked well for most participants, it is completely customizable. You are always supported in creating your own perfect experience—from a place of love, gentleness, and alignment with your inner guidance.
3) I have extensive experience with fasting and would like to do a full 8-day fast (water and dry fasting only, no juice or fruits). Is that okay?
Yes! We invite you to follow your inner guidance, and we encourage you to consult with Akahi so he can help you create the most supportive, loving, and aligned experience possible.
In the past, participants have modified their fasting schedule in various ways, always with the intention of ensuring a kind, loving, and healthy experience for their body, mind, emotions, and spirit.
That said, one important aspect of the 8DP is recalibrating your relationship with food. The original 8DP template introduces a gradual return to nourishment, allowing you to fully enjoy flavors from a place of pure enjoyment rather than necessity. By gently reintroducing small amounts of juice on Days 6-7-8, you stabilize this new relationship with food—sharing with the group and creating positive new memories.
This helps facilitate a smooth, easy reintegration into the outside world, so you can bring your new state of consciousness—joy, fun, freedom, and non-necessity—into everyday life. We encourage you to consider this element as part of your personal journey.
4) I have a health condition. Will the 8DP heal it?
For obvious reasons of liability, the 8DP does not make any medical claims. Additionally, none of us can fully grasp the perfection of the universe or the divine timing of events and circumstances in our lives.
That said, the 8DP is a beautiful process of purification and alignment on all levels—body, mind, emotions, and soul. It offers you a chance to go deep within, to know yourself more intimately, and to love yourself more fully than ever before. It allows you to release what no longer serves you, so love and prana can flow freely again, restoring you to a natural state of joy and vibrant health.
Many participants have reported profound transformations and healings during the process. While there are no guarantees, we encourage you to bring a pure and sincere intention to your journey—using the 8DP as an opportunity to let go of anything that no longer serves you. This process supports you in recalibrating to your natural state of peace, health, joy, and harmony in all aspects of life.
5) After the 8DP, will I stop eating? Will I become liquidarian or just drink water? Do you eat? How many calories do you consume?
This is a common question, so let's clarify.
First, the 8DP is not designed to stop you from eating. We strongly recommend that you do not approach this process with the intention of permanently ceasing food intake.
The 8DP is an alignment process—a journey of mind, body, emotions, and soul. It is a chance to release limitations, open yourself to new possibilities, and receive the infinite gifts the universe has in store for you. Focusing solely on the food aspect may limit your experience and prevent you from receiving deeper, more meaningful transformations.
However, as a side effect, many participants experience a significant decrease or complete disappearance of physical hunger. Some even find that their relationship with food changes entirely.
Ultimately, Pranic Consciousness is not about restriction—it is about joy and freedom. You gain the ability to choose what is most perfect, harmonious, and loving in each moment—breath by breath, moment by moment.
From this new state of consciousness, food becomes optional—you can eat if you wish, but you no longer feel compelled to eat out of habit or survival. Many participants find that eating or not eating becomes irrelevant—their mind is free from food-related concerns, allowing them to redirect energy toward creativity, fun, and personal expansion.
Thousands of people have completed the 8DP, and we invite you to explore Akahi’s YouTube channel to see the incredible diversity of testimonials and experiences shared by the global pranic community.
